Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un separador de hidrociclón para separar una corriente de petróleo y agua en una corriente subálvea que contiene principalmente agua y una corriente de desbordamiento que contiene una concentración de petróleo relativamente mayor que en la corriente subálvea. El control de calidad tanto la corriente subálvea como el de la corriente de desbordamiento es complicado, por lo cual típicamente se coloca un separador de desaceitado corriente abajo en la corriente de derrame del separador hidrociclónico. Un separador de desgasificación es también generalmente utilizado corriente arriba de la entrada al separador hidrociclónico. Varios sistemas de control y verificación están provistos para comprobar la proporción de división de las corrientes subálvea y de derrame del separador hidrociclónico.
