Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para identificar huevos invertidos en un lote de huevos que incluye un módulo de calentamiento configurado para exponer una celda de aire en cada huevo del lote de huevos a un flujo de radiación. El aparato también incluye un módulo de obtención de imágenes con una cámara térmica configurada para capturar imágenes térmicas del lote de huevos cuando los huevos no están expuestos al flujo de radiación. El aparato también incluye un módulo de análisis configurado para detectar la presencia de una zona calentada en la celda de aire de cada huevo a partir de las imágenes térmicas e identificar huevos invertidos con base en la presencia de la zona calentada. Un método para identificar huevos invertidos de un lote de huevos incluye calentar el lote de huevos con una fuente de radiación, tal como una fuente infrarroja, de manera de generar una zona caliente dentro de una celda de aire de cada huevo sin calentar significativamente el resto de los huevos.
