Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición nutritiva para infantes o niños pequeños que comprende un probiótico Bifidobacterium animalis spp. Lactis para usarse promover o inducir una microbiota intestinal que esté más cercana a la microbiota de los infantes alimentados exclusivamente con leche materna humana, en comparación con la microbiota de los infantes alimentados predominantemente con una composición nutritiva convencional que no comprende el probiótico, en infantes o niños pequeños entre 0 y 36 meses, opcionalmente entre 0 y 12 meses de edad, en donde la promoción o inducción de una microbiota intestinal que está más cerca a la microbiota de los infantes alimentados exclusivamente con leche materna humana además se caracteriza por la promoción o inducción de una microflota intestinal que tiene una distancia filogenética con respecto a la microbiota de los infantes alimentados por lactancia materna menos que 0.3 unidades (medidas por el método UniFrac), preferentemente menor que 0.25 unidades, en donde el probióticos Bifidobacterium animalis spp. Lactis es CNCM I-3446.
