Abstract
Se proporciona un proceso de Codificación de Video Escalable (SVC) para codificación de video escalable que toma en cuenta la gama de colores primarios junto con la resolución espacial; el proceso permite el remuestreo utilizando datos de color de video obtenidos de un proceso del codificador o decodificador de una capa base (BL) en un sistema multi-capa para permitir una codificación y decodificación mejoradas en una capa de mejora (EL) o capas superiores tomando en cuenta la conversión de color entre capas; ejemplos de SVC aplicable incluyen Codificación de Video Avanzada MPEG-4 (AVC) y Codificación de Video de Alta Eficiencia (HEVC); con el proceso SVC, los datos de video expresados en un espacio de gama de color pueden ser utilizados para predicción en la codificación con un espacio de color posiblemente diferente, y también se puede realizar el acomodo para diferente resolución espacial y profundidad de bit.
