Abstract

La presente invención describe un método y un aparato para codificar una imagen y un método y un aparato para decodificar un mensaje. El método para decodificar la imagen comprende los pasos de decodificar por entropía un flujo de bits que se recibe, para recuperar un valor residual por cuantificación inversa y conversión inversa del valor residual; llevando a cabo la predicción interna con respecto a una unidad de predicción que se divide en por lo menos dos unidades aplicando un método de división de partición asimétrica, en donde la unidad de predicción que se divide comprende una primera unidad de predicción dividida y una segunda unidad de predicción dividida; y recuperar la imagen agregando el valor residual a una unidad de predicción final, en donde el paso de generar la unidad de predicción final puede comprender un paso de interpolación utilizando un grifo de filtro, el cual tiene una longitud variable en una dirección horizontal o perpendicular dependiendo de la longitud de la primera unidad de predicción dividida, de manera que los pixeles que pertenecen a la segunda unidad de predicción dividida no está incluida en la interpolación.
