Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar un pigmento de efecto de color, que comprende: (i) revestir partículas de sustrato a base de aluminio en un medio de revestimiento acuoso con al menos una capa de óxido metálico, en donde el óxido metálico se selecciona de un óxido de titanio, un óxido de hierro, o cualquier mezcla de los mismos, (ii) proporcionar una mezcla de las partículas revestidas a base de sustrato de aluminio y un material no metálico inorgánico en partículas en el medio de revestimiento acuoso mediante la adición de las partículas de material no metálico inorgánico para el medio de revestimiento acuoso, y (iii) separar la mezcla de las partículas de sustrato a base de aluminio revestidas de partículas y el material no metálico inorgánico a partir del medio de revestimiento acuoso y sometiendo la mezcla separada a una etapa de secado térmico a fin de obtener un material de pigmento de efecto de color seco.
