Abstract

Los artículos resistentes a balas comprenden por lo menos un compuesto consolidado, en donde el por lo menos un compuesto consolidado comprende por lo menos dos capas, cada capa comprende una red de fibras, las fibras tienen una resistencia de por lo menos 800 mN/tex (1100 MPa) de acuerdo con la norma ASTM D 7269-07, las fibras de cada capa están impregnadas de un material de matriz, y cada compuesto consolidado tiene una superficie frontal y una superficie posterior; en dicho artículo balístico, por lo menos la superficie frontal de cada compuesto consolidado está revestida de partículas de polvo parcialmente fundido y solidificado para formar una superficie revestida de polvo, y las partículas de polvo parcialmente fundido y solidificado forman un patrón de revestimiento de isla en el mar en la superficie revestida de polvo.
