Abstract

La presente invención se basa en el descubrimiento de que el hule de polibutadieno de neodimio puede ser construido sobre bandas transportadoras de servicio pesado como una capa de cubierta de transporte para mejorar en gran medida la resistencia al desgaste de la banda. Tales bandas transportadoras resistentes son de particular valor para usarse en la extracción de mineral de hierro, mineral de cobre, carbón vegetal y otros materiales abrasivos. En consecuencia, estas bandas ofrecen una vida útil más larga, reducen el tiempo de inactividad de minas, reducen los costos y mejoran la productividad general de minas sin tener un efecto adverso sobre la salud o la seguridad de los trabajadores, y sin afectar negativamente al medio ambiente.
