Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos para identificar la ubicación y la altura de las fracturas inducidas de yacimiento subterráneo y la presencia de cualquier material asociado de paquete-de-fractura o paquete-de-grava en la proximidad del pozo de sondeo utilizando herramientas de registro de captura de neutrón pulsado (PNC). El agente de sostén/arena utilizado en los procesos de fracturación y empaquetado es etiquetado con un material de absorción de neutrón térmico. Cuando el agente de sostén está presente, los incrementos en las secciones transversales detectadas del componente de yacimiento y/o pozo de sondeo PNC, combinados con las disminuciones en las velocidades medidas de conteo, son utilizados para determinar la ubicación de las fracturas de yacimiento y la presencia y el llenado porcentual del material de paquete en la región de pozo de sondeo. Los cambios en las secciones transversales medidas de yacimiento con relación a los cambios en otros parámetros PNC proporcionan una indicación relativa del agente de sostén en las fracturas si se compara con la indicación en la región de pozo de sondeo.
