Abstract
Se describen sistemas y métodos para entrelazar comunicaciones con una red de área doméstica (HAN) y una red de datos. Un dispositivo de puerta de enlace entrelaza comunicaciones dentro de intervalos de tiempo de un protocolo de salto de canal en intervalos de tiempo. Un dispositivo de puerta de enlace se puede configurar para determinar, durante una primera porción de un intervalo de tiempo, si el dispositivo de puerta de enlace recibió una porción de un mensaje de una red de datos. Si el dispositivo de puerta de enlace no recibió ningún mensaje de la red de datos durante la primera porción del intervalo de tiempo, el dispositivo de puerta de enlace conmuta para escuchar comunicación de la HAN durante una segunda porción del intervalo de tiempo. Si el dispositivo de puerta de enlace recibe una porción del mensaje de la HAN, el dispositivo de puerta de enlace continúa recibiendo el resto del mensaje hasta que una o más condiciones de activación provocan que el dispositivo de puerta de enlace escuche comunicación de la red de datos.
