Abstract
Se proporcionan método y aparato para identificación de área en la descripción; la cual pertenece al campo de procesamiento de imágenes. El método para identificación de área comprende: identificar un borde predefinido en una imagen de credencial, el borde predefinido es un borde ubicado en una dirección predefinida de la credencial; identificar al menos un área de información en la imagen de credencial basada en el borde predefinido; y cortar el área de información para obtener al menos un área de carácter. Esto resuelve los problemas en la técnica relacionada en la que es difícil identificar algunas áreas de información en la imagen de credencial obtenida directamente al fotografiar y que la ubicación de algunas áreas de información son inadecuadas, y lograr el efecto de localizar una área de información de manera precisa e identificar áreas de carácter en las áreas de información de manera precisa al determinar áreas de información en una imagen de credencial basadas en el borde predefinido y cortar las áreas de información.
