Abstract
Un método y dispositivo para extracción de característica se proveen en la descripción, que pertenece al campo técnico de procesamiento de imagen. El método para extracción de característica puede comprender: dividir la imagen en varios bloques, cada bloque comprendiendo varias celdas; realizar descomposición de señal escasa para que cada celda obtenga un vector escaso correspondiente a cada celda; extraer la característica de Histograma de Gradiente Orientado (HOG) de la imagen de acuerdo con los vectores escasos. Al extraer la característica de HOG de la imagen descompuesta por señal escasa, se resuelve el problema de que la relación y exactitud de detección es relativamente baja en reconocimiento de patrón debido al cálculo directo del dominio de espacio de la imagen en el proceso de característica de extracción de HOG; se logra el efecto de que la relación y exactitud de detección es mejorada en reconocimiento de patrón al extraer la característica de HOG en el dominio de frecuencia.
