Abstract

Un aparato para generar uno o más canales de salida de audio se proporciona. El aparato comprende un procesador de parámetros (110) para calcular información de mezclado y un procesador de downmix (120) para generar el uno o más canales de salida de audio. El procesador de downmix (120) se configura para recibir una señal de transporte de audio que comprende uno o más canales de transporte de audio. Una o más señales de canal de audio se mezclan dentro de la señal de transporte de audio, y uno o más señales de objeto de audio se mezclan dentro de la señal de transporte de audio, y en donde la cantidad del uno o más canales de transporte de audio es menor que la cantidad del una o más señales de canal de audio más la cantidad de la única o más señales de objeto de audio. El procesador de parámetros (110) se configura para recibir información de downmix lo que indica información sobre cómo la única o más señales de canal de audio y la única o más señales de objeto de audio se mezclan dentro del uno o más canales de transporte de audio, y en donde el procesador de parámetros (110) se configura para recibir información de covarianza. Más aún, el procesador de parámetros (110) se configura para calcular la información de mezclado dependiendo de la información de downmix y dependiendo de la información de covarianza. El procesador de downmix (120) se configura para generar el uno o más canales de salida de audio a partir de la señal de transporte de audio dependiendo de la información de mezclado. La información de covarianza indica una información de la diferencia de nivel para por lo menos una de la única o más señales de canal de audio y indica además una información de la diferencia de nivel para por lo menos uno del único o más señales de objeto de audio. Sin embargo, la información de covarianza no indica información de correlación para ningún par de una de la única o más señales de canal de audio y una de la única o más señales de objeto de audio.
