Abstract
La presente invención se refiere generalmente a evaporadores de sustancias volátiles dotados de un contenedor con mecha, y tiene por objeto proporcionar una técnica para la detección eficaz del fin de vida de la sustancia volátil alojada en el contenedor. El evaporador de sustancias volátiles está configurado para acoplarse y mantener en una posición estable a un contenedor de sustancia volátil dotado de una mecha con un extremo inferior alojado en dicho contenedor y un extremo superior emergente del contenedor. El evaporador comprende un emisor de luz infrarroja dispuesto para emitir un haz de luz sobre dicho extremo superior de la mecha, de modo que un receptor está dispuesto para captar dicho haz de luz reflejado por el extremo superior de la mecha.
