Proceso de tratamiento de arena excedente de fundición para uso en macharía y moldeo, siendo que el referido proceso comprende las etapas de: a) alimentación de la arena excedente de fundición en un silo (1); b) cedazo inicial; c) procesamiento de la mezcla en un primer hidrociclon (4); d) procesamiento en un frotador (6); e) segunda etapa de cedazo a húmedo; f) procesamiento de la mezcla en un segundo hidrociclon (10); g) etapa de clasificación; h) procesamiento de la mezcla en un tercer hidrociclon (15); i) procesamiento de la arena lavada en canaleta desaguadora (16); j) secado en secador (17); y k) procesamiento en resfriador (18).
