Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para alquilar el benceno contenido en una corriente de gasolina de la refinería, en el cual se pone en contacto la corriente de gasolina de la refinería con un agente de alquilación que comprende una o más de las olefinas de C2 a C5 en una zona de reacción de alquilación bajo las condiciones de la alquilación para producir un efluente alquilado. La zona de reacción de la alquilación comprende al menos una primera etapa de la reacción de alquilación y una segunda etapa de la reacción de alquilación, y una porción del agente de alquilación es alimentado a cada una de la primera y segunda etapas de la reacción de alquilación de modo que, aunque la proporción molar de las substancias aromáticas que se pueden alquilar con respecto al agente de alquilación en la alimentación total para la zona de la reacción de alquilación es menor que 1, la proporción molar de las substancias aromáticas que se pueden alquilar con respecto al agente de alquilación en la entrada de cada una de las primera y segunda etapas de la reacción de alquilación es de al menos 1.0.
