Abstract
La invención se refiere a un método para la identificación sistemática de una población de plantas para la presencia en esta de individuos que muestran una susceptibilidad reducida al etileno y trastornos fisiológicos, en particular punteado pardo y amarillamiento, en comparación con una planta de control, en donde una población de semillas se germina en la oscuridad y en presencia de etileno para obtener plántulas que, cuando tienen un hipocótilo más largo en comparación con el control sensible al etileno original bajo etileno se seleccionan como plantas que muestran una susceptibilidad reducida al etileno y trastornos fisiológicos, en particular punteado pardo o amarillamiento. La invención también se refiere a las plantas así seleccionadas.
