Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un aparato de purificación de agua para tratar actínicamente agua para potabilidad, caracterizado por: un múltiple tubular (701, 802) que tiene un extremo cerrado y un extremo abierto; una lámpara sin electrodo (501, 603, 702, 803) que tiene una forma anular con un canal central para pasar agua a través del canal, la lámpara montada dentro del múltiple (701, 802) a fin de permitir que el agua pase sobre el exterior de la lámpara (501, 603, 702, 803) y a través del canal (508, 604, 703) de la lámpara (501, 603. 702, 803); donde el agua pasa a través del canal y sobre el exterior de la lámpara es de temperatura uniforme y fluye sobre sustancialmente toda la superficie de la lámpara; donde la temperatura de funcionamiento global de la lámpara es controlado usando el agua que fluye sobre la lámpara para regular la salida fotónica de la lámpara dentro de un intervalo deseado de longitudes de onda para tratar el agua que fluye sobre la lámpara, donde el agua pasa a través del canal y a través del espacio en direcciones opuestas; un cabezal (705) fijado al extremo abierto del múltiple (701, 802) que tiene una entrada de agua (505, 706, 808), una salida de agua (506, 707, 809) y un sello (708) en el extremo de la lámpara (501, 603, 702, 803) adyacente al cabezal (705) para evitar que el agua (503) pase a través del canal (508, 604, 703) para mezclarse con el agua (503) que pasa sobre el exterior de la lámpara (501, 603, 702, 803), el aparato que permite que el agua (503) pase a través del múltiple (701, 802) de modo que fluye a través de un espacio entre el exterior de la lámpara (501, 603, 702, 803) y el interior del múltiple (701, 802) y a través del canal (508, 604. 703) de la lámpara (501, 603, 702, 803), donde el espesor del espacio entre el exterior de la lámpara y el interior del múltiple es menor a 0.64 cm; y una fuente de alimentación (103, 203, 805) externa a la lámpara (501, 603, 702, 803) para excitar la lámpara (501, 603, 702, 803) a fin de irradiar luz ultravioleta; y donde la fuente de energía produce un campo de radio frecuencia para excitar la lámpara sin electrodos.
