Abstract

Un sistema para determinar la velocidad de propagación de aire a través de una instalación de frenado controlada neumáticamente en un tren; la instalación de frenado tiene un controlador para ajustar la presión de aire del aire trasmitido a través de una tubería de frenos, desde una locomotora del frente hasta un carro de ferrocarril de la cola; incluyendo el sistema: un dispositivo delantero situado en la locomotora del frente y configurado para asociar primeros datos de tiempo con primeros datos de presión de aire percibida en la tubería de frenos en una primera posición; un dispositivo trasero, situado en el carro de ferrocarril de cola, y configurado para asociar segundos datos de tiempo con segundos datos de presión de aire percibida en la tubería de frenos en una segunda posición; y un dispositivo de control, configurado para determinar los datos de propagación de aire basado por lo menos parcialmente, en por lo menos uno de los siguientes: primeros datos de tiempo, primeros datos de presión de aire, la primera posición, segundos datos de tiempo, segundos datos de presión de aire, la segunda posición, o cualquier combinación de ellos.
