Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso de separación criogénica de aire que provee oxígeno a alta presión para una combustión de un combustible efectuada con oxígeno (por ejemplo, de un combustible carbonoso). El proceso de separación de aire puede estar integrado directamente en un proceso de producción de energía eléctrica de ciclo cerrado, que utiliza un fluido de trabajo, tal como CO2. Es benéfico que el proceso de separación de aire puede eliminar la necesidad de enfriamiento intermedio entre las etapas de compresión de aire y provea más bien la recirculación del calor adiabático de compresión a un paso de proceso en métodos ulteriores, en los que es benéfico el suministro de calor adicional.
