Abstract

Se proporcionan montajes productores de hidrógeno, sistemas de celda de combustible que incluyen los mismos, métodos para la producción de hidrógeno gaseoso y métodos de activación de un dispositivo que consume energía. Los montajes productores de hidrógeno pueden incluir un cuerpo monolítico que define por lo menos un conducto de conversión, en el cual una corriente de alimentación es catalizada en una corriente del gas convertido que contiene hidrógeno gaseoso, y un conducto quemador en el cual, se quema una corriente de combustible-aire. El cuerpo monolítico conduce calor generado por la reacción exotérmica de la combustión desde el conducto quemador al conducto de conversión. En algunos montajes productores de hidrógeno, el cuerpo monolítico define además un conducto vaporizador en el cual porciones líquidas de la corriente de alimentación son vaporizadas antes de ser suministradas al conductor de conversión y el cuerpo monolítico conduce calor desde el conducto quemador al conducto vaporizador. Los montajes productores de hidrógeno se pueden incorporar en un sistema de celda de combustible configurado para activar un dispositivo consumidor de energía.
