Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a mejoras en método para obtener un perfil de las características de una formación terrestre, que comprende los pasos de: irradiar la formación con neutrones desde una fuente de neutrones; producir una primera medida de la poblacion de neutrones en un primer detector colocado a una primera distancia desde la fuente; producir una segunda medida de la poblacion de neutrones en un segundo detector colocado a una segunda distancia diferente desde la fuente; caracterizadas por los pasos de; convertir la primera y segundas medidas en primera y segunda señales respectivamente, que representen la porosidad de la formación; determinar, desde las señales convertidas, características de la formación; y grabar las características.
