Abstract
Esta invención hace referencia a un colorímetro compacto y sumergible en líquidos para realizar el monitoreo del color bajo los estándares CIELAB de muestras líquidas (translucidas u opacas), ya sea como un promedio del color de la muestra (puntual) o como la distribución del color en un área determinada de la muestra. El colorímetro es capaz de realizar el monitoreo in situ, en línea de producción, en tiempo real, en forma periódica a intervalos continuos de tiempo y de manera automatizada. El colorímetro está constituido por una sonda sumergible, una videocámara CCD a color utilizada como sensor de color y los medios para convertir la información RGB a los parámetros de color CIELAB. La sonda contiene en su interior dos sistemas de iluminación, uno frontal y otro a contraluz a base de LEDs, y la óptica necesaria para captar la luz proveniente de la muestra monitoreada; el primero permite medir el color de muestras opacas mediante reflectancia y el segundo de muestras traslucidas mediante transmitancia. La conversión de parámetros de color RGB al estándar CIELAB se realiza por medio de tres Redes Neuronales Artificiales con configuraciones independientes, una para cada uno de los parámetros de color L*a*b*. El colorímetro tiene aplicaciones relevantes en procesos industriales diversos dentro de la industria química, biotecnológica, alimentaria, entre otra, y su aplicación se puede extender al monitoreo de macro o micro partículas en fluidos de procesos.
