Abstract

The present invention discloses a balanced feed composition for feeding aquatic animals, particularly cephalopods from the benthic juvenile phase to the pre-adult phase. The food of the invention ensures a higher growth rate than that obtained by feeding cephalopods with crabmeat and/or other crustacean reported to date. The food composition of the present invention is in the form of pasta, and comprises muscle flours obtained from marine species, a mixture of vitamins, a binder, and water among other components. The use of the feed composition enhances growth and survival of crop-animals, thereby improving the profitability of the production process from which a higher amount of animals may be obtained in a lower period of time.
