Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras a un procedimiento para el tratamiento termico de material finamente granuladoque entra a un horno rotatorio en una camara que forma una entrada de material y una salida del gas residual en un extremo del horno rotatorio y el cual tiene una superficie inclinada de piso preparada para ocasionar que el material fino precalentado, depositado sobre el, resbale por gravedad hacia el fin del horno rotatorio , caractyerizado porque comprende las etapas de: depositar una corriente densa de material granular fino sobre la superficie inclinada, introducir combustible sin quemar en una forma finamente dividida sobre la parte superior de la corriente densa del material que fluye hacia abajo de la superficie inclinada para ocasionar que el combustiblese mezcle intimamente cón el material y ocasione que se descargue gas caliente desde el horno en contacto cón la corriente mezclada de material y combustible a una velocidad tal que arrastre una cantidad substancial de tal corriente, provocando la combustión de tal combustible en el material arrastrado.
