Abstract

Un método para la fabricación de hierro de reducción directa en donde el mineral de hierro se reduce en una cuba de DRI mediante un gas reductor que comprende hidrógeno obtenido por craqueo térmico de metano dentro de una antorcha de plasma, el gas reductor comprende, además, el gas del tragante procedente de la cuba de DRI y un equipo de fabricación de DRI que incluye una cuba de DRI (1) y una antorcha de plasma (40), en donde la antorcha de plasma está conectada, por un lado, a un suministro de metano (41) y, por otro, a la cuba de DRI (1), la cuba de DRI está provista con un circuito de reciclaje que permite inyectar su gas del tragante de nuevo en la cuba de DRI.
