Abstract

Se describe una formulación de acuerdo con la invención que se puede utilizar en la prevención y/o resolución de emulsiones de agua y aceite o petróleo. Estas formulaciones se ha encontrado que modifican las emulsiones de agua y aceite, y que son no emulsificantes/emulsificantes débiles y/o desemulsificantes muy efectivos, específicamente en ambientes de alto contenido de salmuera o altamente acídicos, para emulsiones de agua y petróleo crudo. La formulación comprende por lo menos un alcohol etoxilado con una estructura molecular como se muestra en la fórmula 1: R-O-(C2H4O)n-H (1) en donde R comprende grupos alquilo lineales o ramificados que tienen de 6 a 18 átomos de carbono y n es de 3 a 20.
