Abstract
Se divulga un electrodo bipolar que comprende un sustrato de cátodo cargado con un agente formador de complejo de halógeno que tiene una estructura de fórmula Q+(RA)(RB)(RC)(RD)X-. El electrodo bipolar también comprende una placa de electrodo bipolar que tiene una superficie de cátodo y una superficie de ánodo, en donde la superficie de cátodo se opone a la superficie de ánodo. La superficie de cátodo contacta al menos parcialmente con el sustrato de cátodo.
