Método implementado por computadora para determinar un puntaje de sustentabilidad, que comprende las etapas de: proporcionar una base de datos informática que comprende entradas sobre una pluralidad de marcadores, en donde cada uno identifica un compuesto plástico específico (S100); recibir datos de barrido de una muestra de un compuesto plástico (S200); identificar un marcador en la muestra del compuesto plástico en función de los datos de barrido recibidos y la pluralidad de marcadores de la base de datos (S300) determinar un puntaje de sustentabilidad en función del marcador identificado de la muestra del compuesto plástico (S400).
