Abstract
Métodos para monitorear contaminación biológica en sistemas de agua cerrados; por ejemplo, un método incluye agregar nitrato, y agua que circula en el sistema de agua cerrado y detectar si hay nitrito presente en el agua después de agregar el nitrato; otro método incluye introducir clorito al agua que circula en el sistema de agua cerrada, el detectar la cantidad de clorito presente en el agua; y por lo menos uno de (i) comparar la cantidad detectada de clorito con una cantidad esperada de clorito; y (ii) observar si la cantidad de clorito en el agua disminuye con el tiempo.
