Abstract
The present invention discloses a method for producing a purely aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid using a starting solution containing sodium chloride (NaCl). The method consists of applying electrolysis to the saline solution (NaCl) and obtaining a hypochlorous acid solution because of the amount of saltwater solution that goes through the electrolysis process. Also, it adjusts the pH of the solution to ensure the formation of a pure hypochlorous acid solution, between 3.5 to 4.0, by adding hydrochloric acid to the electrolytic cell before the electrolysis process, thus improving the production of a more stable and pure hypochlorous acid solution.
