Abstract
Muchas regiones de ADN genómico son altamente similares a otras regiones del genoma y así son muy difíciles de capturar sin también capturar las regiones no deseadas, similares. Esto conduce a sobre-secuenciación de regiones para las cuales no existe interés y disminuye la cobertura de las regiones deseadas. Para minimizar la captura de regiones no deseadas, los cebos de bloqueo se han diseñado para evitar que se capturen fragmentos similares, pero no deseados. Esto permite secuenciación más dirigida de las regiones de interés. Los cebos de bloqueo difieren de los cebos de captura porque tienen una secuencia modestamente diferente que se unen de preferencia al ADN no deseado y no contienen una biotina u otra modificación así que permanecen detrás cuando se seleccionan los cebos de captura.
