Abstract
Un proceso para calibrar un dispositivo de medición de distancia y alcance acoplado a un vehículo industrial que comprende tomar una primera medición de una emisión desde el dispositivo a un primer ángulo de guiñada con relación al eje de alabeo del dispositivo. Se puede tomar una segunda medición de la emisión a un segundo ángulo de guiñada con relación al eje de alabeo. El segundo ángulo de guiñada está dentro de la tolerancia angular del primer ángulo de guiñada, pero en dirección opuesta. El dispositivo se calibra con relación al eje de alabeo cuando la primera y segunda mediciones se encuentran dentro de la tolerancia entre sí. Se toma una tercera medición del dispositivo de medición de distancia y alcance desde un haz emitido desde el dispositivo de medición de distancia y alcance a un ángulo de cabeceo. Si la tercera medición y la longitud de emisión virtual están dentro de una tolerancia, encones el dispositivo se calibra con respecto al eje de cabeceo.
