Abstract
El aparato comprende un decodificador de datos de vídeo configurado para decodificar un flujo de datos de vídeo de entrada, respondiendo el decodificador de datos de vídeo a un valor de parámetro asociado con el flujo de datos de vídeo de entrada, indicando el valor de parámetro un nivel de codificación seleccionado de una pluralidad de niveles de codificación, definiendo cada nivel de codificación al menos un tamaño de imagen de luminancia máximo y una tasa de muestreo de luminancia máxima; definiendo el nivel de codificación un primer componente numérico y un segundo componente numérico, siendo el segundo componente numérico un valor numérico mayor o igual que cero; en el que: para codificar niveles que tienen un segundo componente numérico de cero, el primer componente numérico aumenta monótonamente al aumentar el tamaño de imagen de luminancia máximo; y el segundo componente varía con la tasa de muestreo de luminancia máxima; siendo el valor de parámetro una codificación numérica del nivel de codificación como una primera constante predeterminada multiplicada por el primer componente numérico más una segunda constante predeterminada multiplicada por el segundo componente numérico; un comparador configurado para realizar una prueba predeterminada del valor del parámetro asociado con un flujo de datos de vídeo de entrada dado con respecto a los datos de capacidad para el decodificador de datos de vídeo; y circuitería de control configurada para controlar el decodificador de datos de vídeo para decodificar el flujo de vídeo de entrada dado cuando el valor del parámetro asociado con el flujo de datos de vídeo de entrada dado pasa la prueba predeterminada con respecto a los datos de capacidad para el decodificador de datos de vídeo, y para controlar el decodificador de datos de vídeo para no decodificar el flujo de vídeo de entrada dado cuando el valor del parámetro asociado con el flujo de datos de vídeo de entrada dado falla la prueba predeterminada con respecto a los datos de capacidad.
