Abstract

Se describen aparatos y métodos para su uso con una muestra corporal que contiene un analito dispuesto dentro del agua. La muestra corporal se coloca dentro de una cámara de muestras cuya altura se desconoce. La luz se dirige a través de la muestra en una primera banda de longitud de onda, en la que la absorción de luz por el analito es relativamente alta, y en una segunda banda de longitud de onda que se centra alrededor de una longitud de onda de entre 1200 nm y 3000 nm. Se detecta la luz que pasa a través de la muestra en cada una de la primera y segunda bandas de longitud de onda, y, en base a la luz detectada en cada una de la primera y segunda bandas de longitud de onda, se determina una concentración del analito dentro de la muestra corporal, sin medir directamente la altura de la cámara de muestras. También se describen otras aplicaciones.
