Abstract
La invención se refiere principalmente a un sistema para estimar tanto el espesor como el estado de desgaste del material refractario (1) de un horno metalúrgico (12), que comprende al menos medios de procesamiento que comprenden una base de datos en el dominio de la frecuencia de datos en el dominio de la frecuencia simulados denominados espectros simulados que representan ondas de choque simuladas reflejadas en materiales refractarios simulados de estado y espesor conocidos, estando cada espectro simulado correlacionado con los datos de estado y espesor conocidos del material refractario simulado considerado, donde los medios de procesamiento están configurados para registrar una onda de choque reflejada como una señal en el dominio del tiempo, y para convertirla en datos en el dominio de la frecuencia denominados espectro experimental, y están configurados además para comparar el espectro experimental con al menos una pluralidad de espectros simulados de la base de datos, para determinar el espectro simulado que mejor se ajuste al espectro experimental y para estimar el espesor y el estado del material refractario (1) del horno (12) utilizando los datos de estado y espesor conocidos correlacionados con el espectro simulado que mejor se ajuste.
