Abstract
Un aparato electrónico realiza un método de codificación y decodificación de datos de video. El método comprende recibir una corriente de bits que codifica un bloque de transformada, en donde el bloque de transformada incluye una región no nula y una región de puesta a cero; comprobar si hay algún coeficiente no nulo dentro de la región de puesta a cero; de acuerdo con una determinación de que no hay ningún coeficiente no nulo dentro de la región de puesta a cero del bloque de transformada: determinar un índice de orden de barrido de un último coeficiente no nulo del bloque de transformada a lo largo de una dirección de barrido; de acuerdo con una determinación de que el índice de orden de barrido del último coeficiente no nulo es mayor que un umbral predefinido: recibir, de la corriente de bits, un valor para el índice de selección de múltiple transformada (MTS); y aplicar transformadas respectivas para transformar los coeficientes del bloque de transformada en ambas direcciones, horizontal y vertical, basándose en el valor del índice de MTS.
