Abstract

La presente invención proporciona sistemas, aparatos y métodos para cultivar microorganismos y para producir metabolitos microbianos a gran escala. Específicamente, en ciertas modalidades, se proporciona un sistema que comprende tres contenedores separados, pero conectados, en donde un primer contenedor sirve como tanque de alimentación para suministrar medio nutritivo a un segundo contenedor, dicho segundo contenedor sirviendo como un reactor de fermentación sumergido; y en donde un tercer contenedor sirve como un contenedor de recolección al que se transfiere la espuma que contiene subproductos de crecimiento microbiano desde el segundo contenedor.
