Abstract

The present invention discloses a planting medium to produce plants in containers from the mesocarp of the coconut (cocos nucifera) through the adhesion of ionic bonds of silica, calcium, and potassium contained in the volatile ashes and carbons of plant biomasses. Also, it aims to establish a method to achieve the adhesion of ions in the biomass of the coconut mesocarp and equipment to obtain ashes and carbons from different plant biomasses. The method involves reducing the coconut mesocarp by mechanical equipment into particles ranging from five to 25.4 mm mixed by mechanical systems with ashes or coals in particle sizes less than four millimeters. Said particles adhere to the mesocarp due to their cationic exchanges, enriching the planting medium used in protected agriculture in various containers to produce vegetables and fruits.
