Abstract

Para codificar una imagen, una unidad de árbol de codificación (CTU) en la imagen es particionada por una estructura de árbol cuaternario, y los nodos de hoja de árbol cuaternario pueden ser además particionados por una estructura de árbol del tipo múltiple (MTT). Para incrementar el conjunto de nodos y hojas de árbol de codificación alcanzables, proponemos incrementar la profundidad máxima jerárquica MTT permitida para que sea dos veces la diferencia entre el tamaño de CTU y el tamaño mínimo permitido para una CU.
