Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a nuevas esterasas, más particularmente a variantes de esterasas que tienen una actividad mejorada y/o una termoestabilidad mejorada en comparación con la esterasa de la SEQ ID N°1 y a usos de las mismas para degradar material que contiene poliéster, tal como productos plásticos. Las esterasas de la invención son particularmente adecuadas para degradar le tereftalato de polietileno y el material que contiene tereftalato de polietileno.
