Abstract

Se proporciona un método para mezclar de forma segura un hidrocarburo con un oxidante. El hidrocarburo y el oxidante son saturados con un líquido no inflamable en las zonas de premezcla que se inundan con el líquido no inflamable y se conectan fluidamente con una zona de mezcla común que está parcialmente inundada con el líquido no inflamable. El hidrocarburo y oxidante saturados se combinan dentro de la zona de mezcla común lo que forma burbujas de una mezcla de gas homogénea de hidrocarburo y oxidante, preferiblemente en una proporción del hidrocarburo al oxidante que se encuentra fuera del límite de inflamabilidad, que puede salir del líquido no inflamable dentro de un espacio de cabeza, de donde se puede recuperar para su uso en un proceso de reacción oxidativa tal como la deshidrogenación oxidativa.
