Abstract

El Virus de la Fiebre Porcina Africana (ASFV) es un virus de ADN complejo muy grande que se dispersa rápidamente a través del país que produce carne de puerco más grande en el mundo, China. El ASFV causa alta mortalidad en cerdos y es actualmente una enfermedad extranjera de animal a Norte América y la mayoría de países Europeos. Actualmente no hay vacuna efectiva, y el virus se conoce que se transmite a través de la ruta oral por la vía del consumo de alimento contaminado. El ASFV es capaz de sobrevivir en alimento y en ingredientes alimenticios sometidos a condiciones ambientales variantes que simulan el envío transoceánico. La presente invención se relaciona a un aditivo alimenticio que es efectivo en mitigar ASFV en cultivo celular y en alimento y en ingredientes alimenticios.
