Abstract
Un método para usar en una unidad de transmisión/recepción inalámbrica (WTRU). El método comprende: recibir, usando un receptor activo, información del sistema que comprende un primer conjunto de información del sistema, en donde el primer conjunto de información del sistema es actualmente válido para la WTRU; almacenar la información del sistema; desactivar el receptor activo y activar un receptor pasivo; determinar si una diferencia entre un primer parámetro en el BSSI y un primer parámetro en el primer conjunto de información del sistema es mayor que un valor umbral, en donde en una condición en que la diferencia es mayor que el valor umbral, reactivar el receptor activo para recibir un segundo conjunto de información del sistema como un conjunto de información del sistema actualmente válido para la WTRU.
