Abstract

Se proporcionan métodos y aparatos para determinar un nivel de alineación entre parches de referencia con movimiento compensado para reducir etapas de refinamiento de vector de movimiento. De acuerdo con un método, un decodificador determina el nivel de alineación al redondear vectores de movimiento de fusión no redondeados, calcula la SAD entre los dos parches al realizar una compensación de movimiento simple usando los vectores de movimiento redondeados, y determina si la SAD es menor que un valor umbral dependiente del tamaño de la CU. Cuando la SAD es menor que el valor umbral dependiente del tamaño de la CU, el decodificador omite las etapas restantes del proceso de vector de movimiento del lado del decodificador, y realiza una compensación de movimiento final usando los vectores de movimiento de fusión no redondeados. En otro método, el decodificador calcula la SAD entre dos parches usando un subconjunto de muestras de una interpolación de movimiento compensado bilineal usando vectores de movimiento de fusión con precisión de subpixel. Aún en otro método, el decodificador calcula una SAD de media reducida entre muestras en posiciones de centro de parches de referencia de movimiento compensado respectivos.
