Abstract
Un sistema y método para lograr una experiencia de visualización de video inmersivo de 360º optimizada. Un flujo de entrada de medios se codifica en un primer conjunto de flujos de bits que tienen diferentes calidades, en donde cada GOP comienza con un cuadro intra-codificado (I) seguido de un conjunto de cuadros que incluyen al menos un cuadro con codificación predictiva (P). El flujo de entrada de medios también se codifica en un segundo conjunto de flujos de bits que tienen diferentes calidades, en donde cada GOP comienza con un cuadro I seguido de una pluralidad de cuadros X, cada cuadro X tiene un encabezado de segmento de un cuadro P y comprende bloques de datos intra-codificados solamente (por ejemplo, bloques I). Durante la reproducción del contenido de video inmersivo de 360º, cuando una ventana gráfica cambia durante el GOP medio y/o si cambia la asignación de ancho de banda, los datos de mayor calidad en un cuadro X se mezclan en la secuencia de video codificada para brindar una experiencia de visualización mejorada con una latencia mínima.
