Abstract
Una estructura de concreto formada por una mezcla de concreto y una pluralidad de micro-refuerzos de acero trenzado fabricados a medida (TSMR); cada TSMR tiene un paso de torsión de dos o más giros por cada 25.4 mm aplicados a lo largo de su eje longitudinal; los TSMR están hechos de un material de base común y tienen el número de giros predeterminado de manera que una estructura de concreto formada con al menos 10% en peso por unidad de volumen menos TSMR que las fibras en una estructura de concreto convencional exhibe el mismo o mejor desempeño que la estructura de concreto convencional en una o más de las propiedades de esfuerzo, deflexión, energía o apertura de la boca de la fisura (CMOD) según lo determinado a través de pruebas estándar definidas; el requisito de rendimiento puede basarse en el resultado real de la prueba y/o la consistencia (coeficiente de variación del resultado).
