Abstract
Se proporciona un sistema y un método para intercodificar video en los que se reducen los requisitos de memoria de codificador y decodificador asociados con el almacenamiento de información de movimiento relacionada con unidades de codificación colocalizadas. En algunas modalidades la información de movimiento relacionada con solo una sola unidad de codificación colocalizada puede almacenarse en el codificador y el decodificador. En funcionamiento, si el codificador determina que la información de movimiento de una unidad de codificación actual debería reemplazar la información de movimiento actualmente almacenada de la información de movimiento actualmente almacenada de la unidad de codificación colocalizada, entonces el codificador puede reemplazar la información de movimiento en el codificador y transmitir un indicador con la unidad de codificación actual para señalizar al decodificador que la información de movimiento actualmente almacenada debería actualizarse o reemplazarse con la información de movimiento asociada con la unidad de codificación actual.
