Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a nuevas estructuras de ARN bicatenario (ARNbc) y su uso en el silenciamiento génico. En una modalidad el ARNbc comprende una estructura de doble horquilla (mancuerna). En otra modalidad, una proporción de las cadenas sentido y antisentido de la molécula de ARNbc contiene ribonucleótidos que o bien forman pares de bases en un par de bases no canónicas o bien no forman pares de bases.
