Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un sistema automatizado de regulación de glucosa en sangre de un paciente, que incluye: un detector de glucosa en sangre (101); un dispositivo de inyección de insulina (103); y una unidad de procesamiento y control (105) capaz de predecir, a partir de un modelo fisiológico, la evolución futura de la glucosa en sangre del paciente durante un periodo de predicción y de controlar el dispositivo de inyección de insulina (103) tomando en cuenta la predicción, donde la unidad de procesamiento y control (105) es capaz de: a) calibrar el modelo fisiológico, tomar en cuenta la glucosa en sangre medida por el detector (101) durante un periodo de observación pasado; b) al final de la calibración, calcular un indicador representativo del error entre la glucosa en sangre estimada a partir del modelo y la glucosa en sangre real medida por el detector; y c) ajustar el periodo de predicción tomando en cuenta el valor del indicador.
